Integrations

Connect WApifly to thousands of apps with Zapier, Make and n8n without writing code: send a WhatsApp message when something happens, or act in other apps when messages arrive.

From your app → WhatsApp

When an event such as an order, form or appointment happens, your tool calls the WApifly API and the message is sent from your own number.

From WhatsApp → your app

When a message arrives on your number, a sending finishes or the connection drops, WApifly notifies your tool’s address and your flow starts.

Before you start

Create an integration key: Control Panel → API Settings → Integrations. It needs no IP whitelist; use it instead of your API key because these tools have no fixed IP. The key is shown only once, so store it safely.
Choose the WhatsApp number that sends the messages. It is used in the addresses. (When you sign in, your number is filled in automatically.)
To start flows from incoming messages, the Event Webhook is in the same section; your tool gives you the address.
In Zapier, the “Webhooks by Zapier” step is available on paid Zapier plans.

Send a WhatsApp message with Zapier

Create your Zap and choose the trigger (e.g. Shopify “New Order”, Google Forms “New Response”).
Choose Webhooks by Zapier → POST as the action.
Paste the address below into URL and choose json as Payload Type.
https://www.wapifly.com/api/905XXXXXXXXX/send-message
Add two fields under Data: numbers (pick the phone field from the trigger) and message (message text; you can insert fields from the trigger).
numbers: 905321234567
message: Hi {name}, we received your order {order}.
Under Headers, add your integration key with the key wapikey.
wapikey: <your integration key>
Try it with Test step; the response should contain "status": "ok".

Start a Zapier flow from incoming messages

Create a new Zap, choose Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook as the trigger and copy the address it gives.
In WApifly, paste it into Control Panel → API Settings → Integrations → Event Webhook, choose the events you want (e.g. “Message received”) and save.
Send a WhatsApp message to your number and click Test trigger in Zapier. In the data, the message is in data.body and the sender in data.from.
{
  "event": "message.received",
  "service": "905XXXXXXXXX",
  "created_at": "2026-10-21T09:00:00.000Z",
  "data": {
    "id": "3EB0C431B8F1A2",
    "from": "905321234567",
    "to": null,
    "type": "chat",
    "body": "Hi, where is my order?",
    "timestamp": 1792440000,
    "is_group": false
  }
}
Use these fields in the next step in any app (e.g. add a row to Google Sheets).

Send a WhatsApp message with Make

Add a trigger module to your scenario (e.g. WooCommerce “Watch Orders”).
Then add the HTTP → Make a request module. Paste the address below into URL and choose POST as Method.
https://www.wapifly.com/api/905XXXXXXXXX/send-message
Under Headers, add your integration key with the name wapikey.
wapikey: <your integration key>
Choose application/x-www-form-urlencoded as Body type and add two fields: numbers and message. You can map values from the previous module; quotes and line breaks are sent correctly.
numbers: 905321234567
message: Hi {name}, we received your order {order}.
Enable Parse response and try the scenario with Run once; the response should contain "status": "ok".

Start a Make flow from incoming messages

In a new scenario, add Webhooks → Custom webhook as the first module, create a webhook and copy its address.
In WApifly, paste it into Control Panel → API Settings → Integrations → Event Webhook, choose the events and save.
Click Run once in Make and send a WhatsApp message to your number; Make learns the data structure from it. The message is in data.body and the sender in data.from.
{
  "event": "message.received",
  "service": "905XXXXXXXXX",
  "created_at": "2026-10-21T09:00:00.000Z",
  "data": {
    "id": "3EB0C431B8F1A2",
    "from": "905321234567",
    "to": null,
    "type": "chat",
    "body": "Hi, where is my order?",
    "timestamp": 1792440000,
    "is_group": false
  }
}
Use these fields in the following modules and switch the scenario ON.

Send a WhatsApp message with n8n

Add a trigger node to your workflow (e.g. Shopify Trigger, Google Sheets Trigger, Schedule).
Add an HTTP Request node. Method: POST, URL: the address below.
https://www.wapifly.com/api/905XXXXXXXXX/send-message
Turn on Send Headers and add your integration key with the name wapikey.
wapikey: <your integration key>
Turn on Send Body, Body Content Type: JSON, Specify Body: Using Fields Below. Add two fields: numbers and message (values can be expressions from the previous node).
numbers: 905321234567
message: Hi {name}, we received your order {order}.
Try it with Execute step; the response should contain "status": "ok".

Start a n8n flow from incoming messages

Add a Webhook node to a new workflow and choose POST as HTTP Method.
Copy the Production URL and paste it into Control Panel → API Settings → Integrations → Event Webhook in WApifly, choose the events and save. (You can use the Test URL while testing.)
Send a WhatsApp message to your number. In the incoming data, the message is in body.data.body and the sender in body.data.from.
{
  "event": "message.received",
  "service": "905XXXXXXXXX",
  "created_at": "2026-10-21T09:00:00.000Z",
  "data": {
    "id": "3EB0C431B8F1A2",
    "from": "905321234567",
    "to": null,
    "type": "chat",
    "body": "Hi, where is my order?",
    "timestamp": 1792440000,
    "is_group": false
  }
}
Add the next nodes and set the workflow to Active; the Production URL only works while the workflow is active.

Tips

numbersNumbers can be in any format: +90 532 123 45 67, 0532 123 4567, 5321234567. Separate several numbers with commas.
messageInsert fields from your tool into the text. WhatsApp formatting such as *bold* and _italic_ works.
type, urlTo send an image, document, audio or video, add type (2 image, 3 document, 4 audio, 5 video) and the file url. See the API documentation.
Idempotency-KeyAdd a unique value such as the order number as this header so the message is not sent twice if your tool retries the step.
LimitUp to 120 requests per minute with an integration key. For bulk sending, put several comma-separated numbers in a single request.
SecurityEvent webhook requests are signed. If you receive them on your own server, verify the signature.

Ready-made recipes

Send the customer a WhatsApp reminder one day before an appointment in Google Calendar.
